From his start as the face & voice of art-rock pioneers Bauhaus, and through his distinguished solo career, Peter Murphy has shaped the world with his mesmerizing voice & lyrics. On his new live album, Bare Boned and Sacred, these gifts are on full display. Stripped down and beautifully naked, these twelve tracks - including a cover of Bowie's "Belway Brothers" - span his entire music career.

I bought the 12 inch single for Bela Lugosi’s Dead at Fred’s records in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the eighties and it remained a treasured item in my collection until it was lost, left behind, stolen, loaned out, whatever. I accepted that that item was lost to time and likely irreplaceable. Hence my utter shock to see that I will once again hear this evocative masterwork on vinyl along with an extra three tracks. I recall Boys was included on the B-side of that long list single. Thank you! skritti

This is one album I wish I would have never bought. Usually, I listen to everything I can before ordering. This one I did not, and it was a mistake. Absolute rubbish. numan009
Perfectly gloomy Norwegian goth/post-punk, anchored by a punchy rhythm section and driven by chiming guitar lines and morose vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 16, 2021
